Risk Management Programs -- Further Delay of Effective Date

On April 3, 2017, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a notice proposing to further delay the effective date of the final rule that amends the Risk Management Program (RMP) regulations.  EPA is proposing to further delay the effective date to February 19, 2019.  The delay will allow EPA to consider petitions for reconsideration of the final rule and to take other action, which could include a rule to revise the RMP amendments.  Comments on the notice are due by May 19, 2017.  A public hearing will be in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. (EDT) through 4:00 p.m. (EDT).  A copy of the Federal Register notice is linked below.
